We have rebuilt Aviation Auctions to be faster, stronger and leverage some new technologies. Here is a list of some new features that we recently added to our platform.
Auto Adjusts to Any Device
Aviation Auctions now works on any type of device allowing you to bid on the go! From desktop computers, laptops, to tablets, smartphones, and any type of phones. The site will stretch out or shrink automatically to fit your screen size and device.
Automatic Bidding – Proxy Bidding
We now have an automatic bidding feature as well often called proxy bidding. So if bidders want to set a maximum bid value, then the auction system will bid for them until the max bid is reached. They are in total control all the time.
Make an Offer Feature
Our goal was to integrate the best parts of an online listing and an auction. So inside the auction, bidders now are able to make offer. So after posting an auction the bidders can offer a lower price than the buy now price. As an answer you can accept the offer, reject it, or offer a counter offer. At that point the potential buyer can accept or reject this counter offer. This could cause the auction to end early.
Last Minute Bidding Extensions
If you get outbid on an item in the last 5 minutes of an auction, the system will automatically extend the auction for an additional 15 minutes. This gives you time to make your next move.
Google Integration
Aviation Auctions has Google Maps with Street View feature fully integrated so you can track the auctions locations.
Zip/ Postcode radius based search
Another great feature is that bidders can search for an item based on an address, or zip/post code, and on a given radius (miles or km). This feature is based on Google’s geo coordinates and results display on a map in the search page.
Escrow Feature
Our site allows for an automated way to collect a deposit and keep it in escrow.
Private Messaging
This tool will allow buyers to privately message one of our auction managers through a safe system, and keep all activity in a central place.
Facebook & Twitter integration
This feature gives the chance for buyers to “like” the auctions, and to share them on their facebook wall or post to Twitter. This helps drive additional exposure to hot aircraft.
Email Notifications
Buyers get email notifications, when they bid, they get outbid, or when they receive private messages.
